Seeing Through Illusion: Awakening Ourselves & Awakening the World

Retreat offers a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in spiritual exploration and discovery, especially amidst the challenges of our day.

The timeless teachings from the Tibetan Buddhist wisdom tradition of Dzogchen have been passed down in an unbroken lineage for over 14 centuries. These experiential instructions nakedly reveal the innate freedom of being, allowing us to bask in the radiant, spacious expanse of Awareness, fully present in every moment, through every circumstance.

We invite you to join Dzogchen lineage holder, best-selling author and spiritual activist Lama Surya Das, for a virtual weekend of awakening. This is a joyful opportunity to open your heart and mind to these precious Dzogchen pith instructions.

All levels of meditators are welcome!

Lama Surya is a pioneer of Buddhism in the West and has dedicated his life to the transmission of Dzogchen. He has offered meditation retreats for over 30 years in a unique and directly accessible way. In this new world, framed by the need for healthy environments, we hope you will join as we continue Lama's mission by taking a great leap of faith and offering our traditional summer retreat virtually.

The daily schedule will mirror our residential retreat, but allow plenty of time for rest and renewal between sessions. Lama Surya will offer dharma teachings and allow ample time for Q & A.  The program includes guided and silent meditation sessions, sky-gazing meditation, dharma talks, heart-opening chanting and uplifting Tibetan Energy Yoga each morning.

Lama Surya gently requests that Noble Silence  be observed from Friday evening through Sunday afternoon. Honoring this sacred and ancient practice allows us a tranquil container and inner sanctum to explore the mind and deepen our experience to its fullest.

Registration does not include compensation for the teacher, which will be accepted in the traditional form of dana (voluntary donation) in honor of the teachings.

No one will be turned away.
