Gifts by Bequest:

A bequest will ensure that the Dzogchen Center & Foundation can continue Lama Surya's mission of transmission and the Lamas Lineage Legacy Project, for years to come. With a bequest, just a few sentences in your will or trust, can complete your gift.

Other options: 

• A general bequest leaves a gift of a determined dollar amount or particular asset.
• A residuary bequest leaves a gift of a percentage of the “rest, residue and remainder” of your estate after other bequests and expenses have been paid.
• A specific bequest leaves a clearly defined dollar amount or stated fraction of your estate or a clearly identified gift of property.
• A contingent bequest leaves a declared share of your estate, only if another beneficiary does not survive you.
  
  

One donor's story...

Would you ever imagine that a decision you made years ago would help ensure the stability, even through a pandemic, of a nonprofit organization whose altruistic mission is near and dear to your heart?

That’s exactly what Marine veteran Professor Peter Donovick did when he added a bequest to the Dzogchen Foundation in his will. A long time Dharma student, bodhisattva, martial artist and Dzogchen retreat attendee, Peter passed away at home in upstate New York last year, and our Dzogchen Foundation was one several non-profits blessed by his thoughtful generosity. Peter’s conscious choice, to designate us in his estate planning, could not have come at a more critical time. During these unprecedented times, Peter’s generous gift has greatly helped infuse our organization with the resources needed to continue to fulfill our lineage legacy of timeless wisdom and compassion in action, pivot in cyberspace in this new millennium, and open handedly share the Dzogchen view, meditation, and sacred spiritual activism in our homeland and across our troubled planet.
